There is one thing you need to do to experience the living word of God; read it. It doesn’t do you any good to set it on the shelf or keep in your purse. You need to read it. Water does you no good if you don’t drink it.
Before you drive into the word and study it, you need to have a good overview of the Bible. If you don’t look at the whole map, you won’t be able to find the treasure. Having an overview of the Bible is essential.
So what’s the challenge? I’m asking you to read the whole New Testament in 60 days. There are25 books in the New Testament and 260 chapters. Divide that by 60, and you need to read 4.33 chapters a day.
This challenge is not for everyone; but I would strongly urge you to take up this challenge as we walk closer to God. Our walk with Jesus is not a picnic; it requires work and effort.
I hope you will join me on this challenge and adventure as we read though the New Testament.

The Word: Living Water
How can something so simple and plain be so complex and vital to life? How can something as basic as water be used in so many different ways? We use water to drink, to clean, to swim in, and to play. It can lay still, calm, and perfectly harmless, yet this same water has ribbed down houses and destroyed landscapes in floods. Water may be cold or hot, ice or steam, used to bring life or death. Water can be used in different ways for different purposes, yet the basics of it are quite simple: h2o.
In John 7, Jesus called himself the Living Water. He says in verse 37: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. 38Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."
Today, we can’t physically come to Jesus and listen to His teachings, but we do have His word, the Bible. His word is simple, but it can be used in so many different ways; it cleans, to strength, and to refresh. It can quiet the soul and calm the mind, yet it is also sharper than a sword. The Bible is so simple, yet is so complex and vital to our spiritual lives. The word of God is the Living Water. I hope you can join me as we look deeper in the amazing and incredible word of God.
